Jim Maltz began his career in financial services in 1983. He brings a diverse, educational background into his field which supports his ability to clarify complicated issues and concepts, relating to legal and financial issues.
He is recognized for his ability to speak and has addressed many various groups including Boston Senior Citizen groups, Hospitals, Area Councils on Aging, as well as, business, social and professional organizations on topics such as tax savings, catastrophic illness, investment, and asset protection. He has co-authored a book and written numerous articles on senior issues for local and national publications. Jim is a teacher and moderator to other financial professionals on “Planning for Seniors.” He also hosted local Cable TV programs, “Financial Concerns of Seniors” and “Financially Speaking.” In addition, he had a weekly newspaper for many years discussing financial issues.
Mr. Maltz, as a Licensed Insurance Advisor, can perform services on a fee basis much like your accountant and attorney. Once you have been presented with our recommendation, you are free to do business with any agent or broker you choose. He brings a diverse, educational background into his field, which supports his ability to clarify complicated senior issues and concepts relating to seniors’ finances. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (Bachelor’s Degree, 1974) and Northeastern University (Master’s Degree, 1978) with continuing education at Harvard University and Bentley College.
His personal experiences with the ravages of illness and the financial and psychological effects that a long-term disability can have on a family led him to concentrate his work primarily with people age 55 and over, educating and assisting them with their particular needs in financial matters. When Jim was age two, his father became a semi-invalid and died in a rehabilitation center at age 88. His mother died in a nursing home at age 90.
