Client Testimonials

“I have been a client of Jim’s for over 38 years.  He has always looked out for my best interest with his expertise, compassion, and integrity. I have always been provided with choices when planning my financial portfolio. This has been very empowering for me, especially while navigating a painful divorce and a family tragedy. Thanks to Jim and the diligent work he has provided, I’m on solid ground. I would not be where I’m without his help over the years. Thank you, my friend and financial planner.”

“Knowing that I was looking for a good financial planner, a friend introduced me to Jim Maltz. After just one consultation I knew he was the right financial planner for me. He listened to my needs, goals, and concerns rather than pushing a boilerplate plan like so many other financial advisors. And, unlike “others”, he never pushed selling me anything.

At the time my wife was beginning to exhibit early signs of memory loss, his advice was tailored to my specific needs. Thanks to Jim’s advice, I was able to reposition and manage my assets for what is best for my retirement and my wife’s Alzheimer’s. For financial advice, I cannot think of a more knowledgeable person.”

“Thank you for the many years of financial guidance. When you gave a presentation at Mass. General Hospital, my former employer, I was impressed with your ability to summarize the issues facing those of us who were planning for retirement. After your presentation, I asked you a question that I had previously asked others. I had not been able to get a satisfactory answer. Your answer made sense and I felt I had found someone who was knowledgeable, and I could work with full confidence.

Over the years, we have reviewed and adjusted my portfolio based on my philosophy concerning risk and your input. You have provided wise counsel and have displayed an ethical and professional demeanor. Keep up the good work.”

“Jim Maltz has been a trusted advisor for me for more than 30 years. We first met Jim when he did a presentation for a group of Veterans at the Boston Veterans Administration. During our 30 plus year relationship, Jim advised and helped us to find the money. We saved taxes and repositioned assets to pay off our mortgage almost 10 years early, buy two cars with no monthly payments, and he guided us in investments in mutual funds, annuities, and life insurance. He has always been focused on the best ways to protect our financial interests and wishes. With my husband’s passing in 2021, Jim has gone above and beyond to assist me in navigating through the affairs of my late husband’s estate.  I highly recommend him to all.”

“My husband and I have been clients of Jim Maltz for over 35 years. In that time, Jim went from being our financial planner and “money guru” to our dear friend. Jim has always been immensely helpful to us. Years ago, he helped us set up our first life insurance policies when we weren’t sure it was something we could afford. He helped us find the funds to pay for it. Today as we get closer to retirement, we feel well prepared for our future thanks to Jim’s knowledge, advice, and dedication. He was genuinely a good find for us. We would highly recommend him for your financial needs.”

“I've known Jim Maltz socially for a number of years and I knew that he did financial planning for several mutual acquaintances. When my attorney retired, and I needed to find someone new to rewrite my wife's and my wills I asked Jim if he could recommend someone. He gave me 3 names and suggested that my wife and I schedule appointments with all 3 to interview them and see which would be the best fit for us. That lead us to a number of casual conversations related to financial planning and ultimately to working with Jim as our financial planner.

He has a unique style for gathering information and makes recommendations according to the needs and wishes of his clients. He doesn't recommend a one size fits all approach to investments. He is patient when there are questions asked and he is diligent about finding just the right vehicles to match the needs of his clients. He is an honest, caring, concerned, and talented financial planner, and my wife and I are delighted to be working with him.”

“I worked with Jim for close to 20 years.  He has always treated me as a friend, not a client, keeping my money safe.”
